flashback
Was walking down 3rd avenue today and bumped into an old acting buddy of mine. I used to take classes with him at TSS with Mary Boyer something like 3 years ago. It's been a long time anyways. But he's still with Mary - apparently she had a huge falling out with Terry over at TSS and she took all her students with her. Awesome for her. I easily would've gone with her if I was still studying with her.
He's still in the class and some of the same old folks are studying with her from when I was in the class. Some are getting into shows, etc., doing well for themselves. It was great hearing him talk about the classes - all the scene work, etc. Sometimes I miss it - we haven't hit scene study yet at AADA but we'll get there. I don't think I could put the time commitment in that I used to though. Thinking back, I used to put a lot of time into rehearsals and a lot of effort. With my job and traveling a lot more, that would be impossible.
Good ole acting community. just keeps ticking on. hopefully something changes soon.
