Sellout
ugh... did i just completely sell out? I added Google AdSense to my page, just to see what it does, see if it makes me any money. I highly doubt it. At the very least, it will push me to actually put meaningful stuff on my website, perhaps. Or at least update the damn thing. I guess the more I update my web page, the more it can scan it and the more potential revenue I can get.
AGH! Total sellout! Oh well, I had the extra space so I put it there. But it's not like it's totally useless. It'll provide you links to things I think are worthwhile, like Overnight Prints (well, i guess we'll see what the business cards look like).

k, well, off I go to go shopping for a new mattress. I think I'm allergic to dust and our bed is DUSTY!!! last time i changed the sheets, I took the handle of my Swiffer and started beating the bed - the dust that came up was, ew, gross. and a layer of dust formed on the handle, which I had to wipe off.
It actually wasn't even dust, it was like, well, it was dust but more like dust that builds in a construction area or something. like sediment and miniscule debris from dry wall or something. Anyways, new bed is called for. It also isn't great for the wife's sleep so we're gonna have to find something good. Maybe Tempurpedic. Maybe not. Probably not.

So I have to say, I'm still really excited about my business cards coming. I know it's lame to be excited about business cards, but you know what - this is different, dammit. Because I designed them myself. I'm avoiding paying the 80 bucks to get plain-ole white ones with my name and number on it, and for more than I will want. Now I designed my own, for much cheaper, and I was able to buy a lesser quantity - so when I change my information, maybe get an additional phone number or something - I can change it on my business card. Thank you OverNightPrints.
But it would be so much nicer if the shipping were faster. as it is, it'll be here Jan 4th. But still exciting. I managed to pull down the image scan so i can post it here. Nothing incredibly radical but the potential and the ability to do so is there. Woohoo! I will let you know how they turn out.

So here's a new entry for you. 3 weeks from today is when my show goes up. AAAAGH!!!! It should be a great show but I was reminded by my fellow cast mate that we go up in 3 weeks. So I guess it's officially crunch time, although, when we started, we were probably already in crunch time. Story of my life - leaving things til the very last minute.
But not this time, dammit. It's time to start getting serious, getting off book and really going for it. Til then, make plans to see my show dammit!

Since I need to start marketing myself better, I created my own new business cards. I had some old ones I made through Reproductions but they had the wrong number on it, plus my head was way too big and it was a bit embarassing to hand out. This time around, I designed my own and uploaded it to Overnight Prints. They had a facility to upload your own design, preview it and I could get 100 cards for about $25 bucks as opposed to the $80 or so dollars it took at Repro, for about 500 cards. Now I can update my card frequently, with my own design, my own colors. I'll post the image of my business card when I get back home.
Anyways, along with that, I'll probably have to re-vamp my website to have some acting stuff immediately accessible from the front page. You'll notice that you can't put comments anymore (stupid spam commenters - i think MT is workin on a fix) but if you email me your thoughts on what I can add, I'll take em and try to work em in.

I hope everyone had a fantastic holidays! This year went by so fast but so many good things happened. I got married, I'm back in a play, I'm still employed... and everyone is still healthy and happy. One loss we had this year was my childhood dog who we will miss (still haven't posted the story about her... tear jerker, i'm tellin ya).
Merry Christmas to everyone and hope you have a fantastic new year. I probably have to make 'updating my website' a new year's resolution. We'll see....
