there won't be any posts for the week and a half or so (big surprise) but I won't have access to a computer. at least not for the first 4 days. but I will leave you with this.
Answering Service Sabotage
The best part... I used to work for this guy... for his answering service. I have a profound affect on people, I can tell.
say my name
check this website out that my friend (and single faithful reader) sent to me.
http://www.babynamewizard.com
Of particular note, NameVoyager - which tells you what names were used for babies throughout the years and the trend of a name, whether it is increasing or decreasing in popularity. "Anthony" is totally kicking ass even though it is on the decline.
what’s a commercial?
even though we have replaytv and skip most commercials, we managed to see this one and it's wifey's favorite.
Chase Commercial - Life

up late again.
playing a full NBA season on my PSP, only 6 games into the season. yikes. 16 minutes each game x 82 game season = 1312 minutes = 21.67 hours to finish a full season. Not as bad as I was thinking. But still, pretty bad.
I added back the ability to leave comments. I'm going to try to fight the spam so I don't get too much. It's not so much that it bothers you but I get all these emails saying comments have been moderated for potential spam content and i want to stop that. It's so annoying.
i've been into the alanis unplugged album as of late. i've added it to radio.blog for your listening pleasure. i've started listening to the Keane album again as well. so good.
Sometimes you feel like a nut…
I like to keep this blog positive. I like spreading joy to all my fans out there, from the most seasoned blog reader to the new user out in some Third World country who is just now finding out the joys of the Internet and has stumbled upon my website. In fact, I like to think I cater to those latter users. So what would they think of me, and what would they infer about the rest of the Internet, if I were a conduit of negativity? They would shut off their computer and burn it like the devil.
But sometimes, blabbering posts detailing the desire for more seem to make it into everyone's blog. And so, I give you a partial entry I started typing out as I was riding the Amtrak non-Acela, slow ride through hell train on a dark, dark evening:
There are certain moments where you stop and think to yourself - man, is this what I really want to be doing right now? Is this what I was meant to do and am I really achieving all that I am capable of? For some people, I think this notion lingers and continues to nag said person until they up and make a drastic change in their lives. Partially aloof to the consequences but believing full well that what they WANT TO and WILL do provide far more enjoyment out of life than what they are currently doing. Not to mention leaving behind the question: man, is this what I really want to be doing right now?
If you do what your really want to do, I guess you never have to ask yourself that question. For me, I guess that itch has never stuck around for more than a moment. Maybe more than a moment, but not long enough for me to actually do anything about it. How long should it take? A day, a week? If it's stays for a month, you have to think there's some truth behind it, some reason.
Of course for me (and I can talk about me because this is my website), there are other things tipping the scales heavily to one side....
I'm not even going to re-read it because I'm sure it was mind-blowing and I wouldn't want to risk the urge to modify such genius. I don't know what I was going to say after that - probably that it's tough to risk the unknown when you have so much stability already. But sometimes you just have to risk it, I guess. That's decisive, huh... I guess...
aaiff 2005
Just volunteered for my first night of AAIFF 2005 for the opening night gala. Most of my time was spent standing around because I wasn't quite sure what I was supposed to do. I took the opportunity to network with quite a few of the volunteers. More than I usually ever talk to (even though it's only my 2nd year volunteering but still.) The time went pretty fast as I was chatting with some folks and finally it was time for the guest of honor for the evening, Maggie Cheung, to come out for her photo ops. She was, I thought, tall and skinny. She looked fantastic but still was really on the skinny side, which many folks agreed with. But does she care what we think? The answer is yes. In my mind.
Ushered everyone into the theater for a little award ceremony for Maggie then the movie kicked off, as we kicked the press out. I went to visit my nephew, who is getting more amazing as time goes by. Now he's actively focusing on me, watching what I do, wondering who the hell I am. I had some good laughs from him when I would raise him above my head and drop him a little (not on the ground...). My big day with him is August 27th - I have to babysit him day and night, and the wife will be gone so she won't be able to help me. I'm looking forward to it though. Just a boys day and night. It's gonna be a rockin time. if you can describe babysitting as rockin. hard core babysitting.
After dinner, I went back to the AAIFF for the reception, which was fun. My task - drink, eat, and socialize. Sweet. I talked to a filmmaker from Australia who was really cool and interesting. She has a short film screening at the AAIFF so I'll have to try to see that. I continued the socializing with volunteers and got to know a fair amount of people. It's always good to grow the network. If not but to show my mom and dad that I have friends. Just kidding. Sorta.
Then made the best out of the rental car I kept (went to a meeting today and decided to just keep the rental anyways, since it's a full day rental) and drove some folks to the after party at Forbidden City. I went on to try to make it to a friend's party at Libation but there was a huge line outside and they were charging dudes $10 bucks. That blows. OK ladies, sure you can get in for free, but just look how long you have to wait to go to the bathroom. HA!
So I caught up with some people outside Forbidden City - I guess it was too crowded to go inside - they multiply like RABBITS! so we ended up at some cafe on St. Marks. Good times, had a beer, talked Godzilla and stuff. Then I'm home. To update my website. for my one faithful reader. God Bless You.
Classic – Playa Hatin
So I know people hate my company but this is too funny. I stumbled on a website, forum rather, of Oracle haters, calling themselves the "I-Hate-Oracle" Club. Particularly of note are the T-Shirts they printed up, which even I find humorous. Still, are they bigger losers for starting a club or am I a bigger loser for reading some of the posts... I say they are bigger losers.

WOW!
A collective gasp can be heard as people around the world log onto AnthonyGo.com and actually witness the addition of a BRAND NEW ENTRY! And you only had to wait until July to get it. A whole month. A whole month full of activity that you lost out on because I was so damn busy (sorta, maybe) that I couldn't update you on everything that was going on.
Well, some of my faithful readers did their own traveling and were busy on their own so they probably were upset to see that there were no updates when they returned from their relaxing vacations. So, what's new?
I guess to go inline with all my usual late postings, I shall do this in outline style, so as to save you (and me) from all the reading (and typing). And you still haven't heard the mattress story yet. or have you. BTW, add comments to the right hand bar thingy. I had to shut off comments for now while I figure out how to stop all the spam commenting I was getting. Kinda like acne, I don't want it, but I keep getting it. gross, yes. but understand my point, also yes.
- saw a band tonight at Rothko - Aberdeen City. Reviews said they were a mix of punk and Coldplay. why is everyone like Coldplay these days? they were definitely punk and I witnessed my first live band that tried to smash all their equipment. it was excellent, although as poor, struggling musicians, I'm sure they'll regret it when they go to buy a new guitar to replace the one the "totally rocked on". this just in, Mariah Carey sings Clocks. she always sounded like Coldplay to me.
- Had a good Fourth of July. Played out of my mind on a pitch and putt golf course. Hit tons of greens right from the tee. Crashed back to reality the following day playing 9 holes. It was ugly just ugly.
- got my PSP today. it is sweet. more on that as I discover the wonders of the OS.
- Finished up work on The Olympians. Bunch of SUPER professional people on that project. Jonathan Pivko went all out on this thing. Trailer is supposed to come out in a few weeks, with the release in March. More on that shooting experience later. If I feel like typing it. which I won't. But call me. we'll do lunch. and then I'll tell you. as long as you treat.
- end of fiscal year brought beginning of fiscal year which brought Las Vegas kickoff (played craps with Brandi Chastain - yes, you predictable loser, she kept her shirt on), which brings Club, which I qualified for. Hawai'i, aloha.
- Getting the nephew into the business, rising costs of college tuition forces him into an early career. but damned if he isn't soooo incredibly cute. http://www.anthonygo.com/andrew/
That's it, me thinks. More when I feel more inclined. The good news is, updates to this blog coincides with the work I get acting. When I have stuff to talk about, and I need to tell the world, I update my blog. When nothing that interesting is going on, you live in darkness at anthonygo.com. I'll try not to keep that going.
